HOW DID YOU INTEGRATE TECHNOLOGIES –SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND ONLINE – IN THIS PROJECT?
- POWER POINT WITH VOICE OVER
I integrated multiple softwares in the project. I used photoshop it assemble and edit my front cover, contents page and article. This layer-based editing system made it easy for me to organise the different elements that made up the page. It has a large variety of tools, giving me the creative control over the final product. I used the software to remove any blemishes on the models skins, as well as exploiting the huge range of font styles for all the text needed in the project.
Another software i used was Lightroom. Here, I editing my photos, transforming them from a simple mid shot, to magazine image worthy. I exaggerated the colours in my images to fit my desired colour scheme, as well as increasing the sharpness of the images, to create a clearer image.
I also used microsoft word, to write my article, and the sell lines on my contents page. Word is a very simple software, and has an inbuilt grammar checker, to ensure that the text was perfect, before i added it to my piece. I also did my radial analysis of GQ and Esquire pages on word. I also used edexcel to create pie charts for my research page.
Moving onto hardware technologies, a large variety was used in my practical work. I used 2 different cameras. I used the Sony Alpha 7S 50mm lens for my photoshoot at the carnival. This camera was perfect for the lack of light and overwhelming amount of colours, as well as capturing a mid shot. I also used the Canon 1300D for my shots in the studio we have a t school. Here i was able to control the lighting, through the LED lights, and so the canon was perfect for capturing the crisp image of my model that i desired. I also used a 64GB memory card, to ensure that i could take as many photos as i wanted, without the worry of running out of space, intern disrupting the photoshoot. For my CCR i used the canon Rebel T6 to film my talking head. I edited this on premiere pro. I also used Audition CC to edit the audio used in my CCR.
Online technologies that i integrated into my project includes the online photoshop and lightroom courses that can be found on the official adobe website. I also used youtube as a learning tool, for specific tutorials. One youtube channel that i watched a lot was PHLearn, a channel dedicated to photoshop tutorials. I also used google for my research on men's fashion magazines, using websites from wikipedia, to the official GQ and Esquire websites. Weebly is an online blog maker, that i used to documentate my work, and upload my final pieces. This easy to use online software helped me create the perfect blog page to show my step by step process, from the pre-production, to the final product.
